In Sea of Thieves, each player’s ship is bound to take several hits from sea monsters, players, and misplaced rocks. This damage to the ship causes water to fill its hull, slowly sinking your ship if not repaired.
The repair process used to be simple: players had to arm themselves with a wooden board and walk up to a breach in the ship, repairing it. Here’s how to repair and rebuild your ship in the updated Sea of Thieves repair system.

How to repair your ship in Sea of Thieves
С Be More Captain update from game developers, Sea of Thieves has released a new repair system. In this update, every damage to the player’s ship is saved, marking the scars of past battles. If desired, players can remove these marks by by talking to the shipmaster at the docks. After pressing the button Restore my ship, players can see the cost of these repairs.
After paying the gold fee, the ship’s master will remove all visible traces of the battle, returning the ship to a brand new appearance. However, players can also leave these scars on the ship, as they remind sailors of the ship’s previous adventures.
The ship may have been named “S.S. Kraken Slayer” after a close encounter with a sea monster or “Curb Check” after a few scuffs caused by rocks. In these cases, players may want to Save those battle scars for aesthetic reasons. In any case, the Be More Captain update gives players more options, allowing more customization options for all digital sailors.
