The dystopian tactical RPG King Arthur Knight’s Tale, released at the end of April this year, surprised gamers with its “voraciousness” in terms of free space on the drive: the installation volume of the project was reportedly about 120 gigabytes. So why did we write this information in the past tense? The answer has already been given in the title of this news item: King Arthur Knight’s Tale has got updatewhich, among other things, also put the game on a strict diet, as a result of which it became slim and fit, “dropping” an extra 80 gigabytes.

Owners of King Arthur Knight’s Tale have reported that after installing the update the game’s storage capacity was reduced to 39 GB. How did the developers manage to perform such a miracle? Apparently, before the update the entire installation was “bloated” with uncompressed textures and models, because this is the only factor the developers pointed out as responsible for this situation.

Naturally, the game’s weight loss is not the only item in the accompanying documentation for the update. The developers also redesigned the final stages (the so-called endgame) of the game, worked on the balance and fixed a wagon and a small cart of bugs.
