Lies Of P: How To Unlock Every Legion Arm In The Game

Advertisements

Lies of P is a typical Soulslike in that it focuses a lot on the combat aspect of the gameplay. That’s not to say that it doesn’t have good exploration or puzzle mechanics — it does — but the meat of the experience lies in killing as many enemies as you can, as bombastically as possible.

The game has many ways to deal damage to enemies. Whether you want to swing a massive sword, electrocute, throw bombs, or use your mechanical arm attachments, Lies of P has you covered. This guide breaks down the Legion Arm attachments — what it is, and how to acquire each one in the game.

What Are Legion Arms?

What Are Legion Arms, Lies of P

Legion Arms are special tools at P’s disposal that the player can use in the game. They don’t get utilized as often as they should because of their somewhat clunky implementation in the game, but they serve an important purpose nonetheless.

Legion Arms don’t consume Stamina, but they have their own ‘resource’ bar (Legion) that has a finite number of uses. You have to rest at a Stargazer or use items like Legion Magazines to use the Legion Arm once their meter is depleted. The player starts off with a normal prosthetic arm, like the one in Sekiro, but unlocks several more as the story progresses.

Every Legion Arm & Where To Find Them

The player only gets two Legion Arms at the start of the game, with no clear progression in sight. Unlocking new Legion Arms might seem like a daunting task, but it’s actually quite easy. You just have to go through the story up to a certain point, and you’ll be able to unlock essentially whatever you want.

How to Unlock

Puppet String

The Puppet String fires a wire at your enemy and pulls them towards you. If it’s a larger foe, you’ll get pulled towards them instead.

You get the ability to trace enemies, dodge after hitting them, and trigger an attack when moving towards them.

The base Legion Arm is unlocked when you reach Hotel Krat.

Fulminis

Fulminis charges up an electric charge and releases it after a while for an explosion that deals decent damage. However, the large charge-up time and small range make it unwieldy in most situations.

Upgrading this arm lets you move while charging, deal damage while charging, and overcharge for a larger and more powerful explosion.

It’s unlocked through natural story progression once you free Gepetto (After the Elysion Boulevard section). Talk to Eugenie to unlock it.

Flamberge

Flamberge is a flamethrower attached to your arm. It does exactly what you’d expect it to do.

Upgrades make the flames go farther, become stronger, and explode after a certain time.

You can craft it once you help Venigni and clear his precious factory. You’ll need a High Powdered Flame Amplifier.

Deus Ex Machina

This Legion Arm can install landmines in your surroundings that detect nearby enemies and explode.

Upgrades to Deus Ex Machina make it last longer, give it an extra charge, and a general overall boost (range and damage increase).

Craftable using the Venigni Craft Machine. One Legion Plug is required.

Pandemonium

Pandemonium fires acid in a wave in front of the player that corrodes anything it touches. The acid stays for a while after being deployed and damages anything that steps onto it.

Upgrades let you change the direction of the acid, charge up Pandemonium for greater range, and make the acid explode after it expires.

Craftable using the Venigni Craft Machine. One Legion Plug required.

Aegis

A shield built into your arm is useful in any situation — especially since it explodes after blocking any attack. Parrying requires you to time your shield use and is exceedingly difficult for many attacks.

Upgrading the Aegis gives you the ability to hit enemies with the shield up, parry attacks using fable charges, and counter enemy attacks more.

Craftable using the Venigni Craft Machine. One Legion Plug required.

Falcon Eyes

Falcon Eyes is a small cannon attached to your arm that shoots exploding shells at enemies.

Upgrades give you a bigger explosion, double shot, and the ability to use the cannon while dodging.

Craftable using the Venigni Craft Machine. One Legion Plug required.

What Are Legion Plugs

What Are Legion Plugs, Lies of P

Legion Plugs are the crafting materials that you’ll need in order to make new Legion Arms. They cannot be used to upgrade them; you’ll need Legion Calibers for that. These Legion Plugs are found scattered in the world, but you’ll have to go out of your way to look for them if you want to craft new arm attachments for your puppet friend.

You can obtain your first Legion Plug in St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel. It’s located in a hidden location just before the first Miniboss you face. You can get it if you drop onto the second ledge from the Pulley Platform mechanism that lets you run to the Miniboss room and skip the enemies in the main hall.
