Like A Dragon Gaiden – How To Earn Akame Points

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is in the hands of players and many of them are excited to sink their teeth into this great game. While this may not be the longest entry in the franchise, the main story is often gripping all the way through. When I played it, I found the main story and side quests to be incredibly engaging. During its best moments, it was even difficult to put the controller down.

Akame Points are the other side of the currency coin. As you gain more abilities and visit more shops, items and skills will require a mixture of Akame Points and cash to acquire. Not to worry, because we’re here to make sure you earn those Akame Points and cash as quickly as possible.

Akame’s Direct Requests

When you go to see Akame, you’ll have the option to complete her requests. Many of these side quests offer narrative and are a little more in-depth than jobs you’ll find on the street. They’re also an excellent source of Akame Points and money! If you’re looking to stack up a lot of points, start completing these requests. You’ll even notice that they help level up the Akame Network pretty significantly. As you level up the Akame Network, you’ll be rewarded with requests that offer even more Akame Points and larger sums of cash. It’s also worth noting that you’ll need to level the Akame Network up to level 10 in Chapter 3. So, getting a jump start on leveling this network isn’t a bad idea at all. In fact, it will likely make your life a lot easier in the long run. I ignored the Akame Network until Chapter 3 and regretted it immensely.

Hit The Streets

The streets are littered with quest markers. Anyone with a little eye symbol above them has a job for you. These jobs, big or small, will reward Akame Points. While this probably isn’t the fastest way to stack points, it can be nice to mix up larger direct requests with these smaller ones. These quests also come with the benefit of being able to do them whenever you’re in the area. For direct requests, you have to run back to your hideout to talk to Akame herself. While her quests will offer bigger rewards, they also involve more of a time investment. Whether you’re completing street requests or direct ones, you’ll be well on your way to leveling up the Akame Network and making your life easier. Also, it’s worth mentioning that street fights don’t help you accumulate Akame Points. While such fights can be a nice source of cash, they’re not worth anything where the Akame Network is concerned.

Invest In Success

When you talk to Akame about her network, you’ll see a tab that allows you to invest some of those Akame Points into perks. It’s worth noting that this isn’t something you need to worry about too early in the game. While it’s nice to do, save some of those Akame Points for abilities and upgrades. These perks range from upgrading the Akame store to earning more Akame Points when you complete missions. There’s even an investment tab that reduces the number of Akame Points you need to level up your abilities. You’ll likely need to make choices as to which of these options sounds the most useful. There isn’t really a wrong answer. All of the options have their own upsides and downsides. Just make sure you’re investing in something regularly if you want to get the most out of the Akame Network.

Spend Those Points

If you have invested in Akame’s store, you’ll be able to buy a wide range of items to aid you on your journey. These useful items come in many shapes, sizes, and prices. While they may not be the cheapest items in the game, they seem to be pretty exclusive to the Akame Network itself. So, if you see a particular piece of gear you’re interested in, don’t worry about shopping around. If you find yourself purchasing quite a number of items from the Akame Shop, don’t forget that you can invest more Akame Points to make the shop better and better. Doing so will expand their offerings and increase the quality of the items you’ll find in the shop. While the investment may not seem worth the Akame Points at first, the shop really becomes useful over time.
