Lost Lands 2 Walkthrough, Part 2 – Full guide and puzzles
This guide picks up when you’ve just been saved from the horseman by Folnur after discovering the compass. You’ve just come to after falling into a tunnel, only to find you’ve lost the compass. It continues until you open the gates to the swamp after making the werewolf its potion.

The mines
The Collectible is by the barrel (a1) and the Beyond Object is by the beams on the right (a2). Take the Step (next to a1), a second Step from the barrel close-up (a3), and the Lever from the ladder close-up (a4). Take some Rope Sections (a5), add the two steps you have to the ladder (a4), then move down the tunnel (a6) to Folnur’s Refuge.
After you’ve collected the Beyond Object (b1) and the Collectible (b2), grab the Flywheel (b3) before adding the lever to the mechanism (b4) to start a lever-pulling puzzle. If you’re stuck on this one, use the image below and pull the levers in the following order (and then press the button):
- R once
- M twice
- L three times
- M twice
- R twice
- M six times
This opens the tunnel doors but if you examine the jet machine (b5) you’ll find you need a special crystal to get going. Select the table next (b6), take a Manuscript and the Glove, and then head back to the mine. Use the glove to pick up the Crystal (a7), then put it in the jet machine. You can now click the tunnel (b7) and move onwards.
The frozen mountains
Once you’re in the caves, pick up the Beyond Object (c1) and the Collectible (c2), and then click the chain (c3) for a close-up and the flywheel. Examine the area this opens up (c4) to find a Manuscript and a Yield Remover. Use your knife to cut the rope in the pool (c5), take the Bottle of Cold Water from the pool, and then head down the stairs (c6) to the square.
Once you’ve grabbed the Collectible (d1) and the Beyond Object high on the wall (d2), click the hanging rock (d3) several times to knock it down and make a hole in the floor. Take a Circle Sector from the hole it makes, then click the fountain (d4) to start a simple missing-objects minigame. Once complete, claim the Hammer.
Read the notice (d5) and take the Corkscrew in the close-up before examining the statues (d6), taking the Bowl. Next, you need to return to the mines and use the bowl and then the corkscrew to open the barrel (a3) and get some Powder. Add the powder to the bomb (d7) which will explode, giving you access to the dwarf slums (d8).
The dwarf slums
The Beyond Object is high up on the right (e1), while the Collectible is on the pipes in the center above the buildings (e2). There’s nothing else to do here yet, so move on to the dwarf cemetery (e3).
You’ll find the Collectible leaning against the tomb (f1) and the Beyond Object above its gates (f2). Click the stone on the edge of the grave (f3) in the close-up to knock it into the hole, taking the Medallion that pops out. Grab the Manuscript from the gravestone (f4), and then use the knife to cut the pillow in the open coffin (f5) and take the Feather that’s inside.
Take the Sieve from the tree roots (f6), and the Crowbar from the gates close-up (f7), and add your medallion to the dwarven statue (f8). Now you need to return to the slums and use the crowbar to take the planks off of the door (e4) to start a missing objects mini-game. Everything you need is in the picture so you can’t go wrong and once you’re done, you’ll receive the Emerald Symbol.
Head to the square, add the emerald symbol to the green statue’s axe in the close-up (d6) and take the Emerald Key (the top of the axe). Now you can use the emerald key to open the gates (f7) in the cemetery and head through to the mountain giants’ village.
The mountain giants’ village
The Collectible is by the left tent (g1) and the Beyond Object is in the tree on the right (g2). Click the mountain giant’s leg (g3) and use the feather on its foot in the close-up, making it move so you can grab the Meat underneath (yum…). Select the flag (g4), use the handle to lower it, and use your knife to cut the rope and take the Leather Sack.
Select the back-right tent (g5) to start another missing object mini-game. This one is again simple, as everything is in the image, and you’ll be rewarded with a Symbol. Select the left tent next (g6), use the knife to cut the fabric, and head into the marquee.
Give the meat to the wolf to distract it, and then (after a cutscene) take the Beyond Object from the chimney (h1) and the Collectible from next to the plant pot (h2). Grab a Step from the ground (h3), the Trough from the chimney (h1), and then head back to the caves.
Use the trough to repair the guttering (c7) before clicking the device below it (c8) to start a stopcock puzzle. You need to press the four numbered buttons in sequence to allow the ball to rise and pop through the hole. Once you do so, the door at the back of the room will open and you can head through. If you’re finding this tricky puzzle tough the solution is below:

Mountgore’s Temple
After a cutscene, you’ll be asked to get Mountgore the flower that’s growing in the giants’ greenhouse. Before heading off grab another Step (i1) along with the Collectibe (i2) and Beyond Object (i3). Also, collect the Divine Tree Flowers (i4) and the second Circle Sector that’s underneath them.
Return to the mines, add the final steps to the ladder (a4), use the rope sections to secure them, and take the Ladder. Use the ladder on the hole above the barrel here (a8) to gain access to all the areas you visited earlier. For now, though, head back to the marquee and add the two circle sectors to the floor around the flower (h4) to begin a tile-moving puzzle.
This is another of those time-consuming puzzles that you can’t fail because you just need to use the sections on each side to store pieces as you move them. Once done, use the knife to cut and take the Flower and return it to Mountgore (i5) in the temple. After the cutscene with him, use the yield remover to get Mountgore’s Apple (i6).
Return to the wasteland
Go right back to the stronghold and use the large hammer on the chain (j1) to get the Horn, and then go to the temple and use the leather sack in the bowl (k1) to collect a Sack of Ashes.
Now move to the canyon to use the smaller hammer on the two statues (l1) to claim the two Stone Hearts, then examine the pile of dust the statues leave behind to find a Key. While you’re here, use the sieve in the pool (l2) to pan some Gold Ore.
Move to Maaron’s cottage and show him the horsemen’s hearts. After a cutscene, he’ll take the stones and give you a Dwarf Figurine in return. You can now go to the halfling settlement and use the figurine to complete the statue on the box (m1), starting a matching game.
To complete it, simply match all three weapon tassels to the tassel on either of the two shields on the dwarves above to make one of them step forward one space. In the example below, I’m matching the left purple tassels. Once complete you can take add the symbol you have to the box.
Examine it again afterward and take the Rune. Use the rune on the dolmen here (m2) to open the portal here and journey on.
The swamps
Grab the Beyond Object (n1) and the Collectible (n2) once you arrive at the Swamps Border, and then click the gates (n3) to find a Manuscript and a bottle of Bubble. Take the Basket from under the house (n4), then select the door (n5) for a close-up and use your knife to flip the latch open. Head inside the werewolf’s hut.
Speak to the werewolf in the cage, who will ask you to brew up a potion. The Beyond Object and Collectible are both on the stove (o1), while you’ll find the recipe and a Scoop on the table (o2). Open the cupboard (o3) to grab the Medallion, look in the oven (o4) to find it broken, then select the mechanism on the wall (o5) to start a rotation puzzle.
You’ve seen the solution on the inside door of the oven here, but I’ve pictured it above. Unfortunately, you don’t have the lever to open the gate yet. That’s it here for now, but remember to take some Wool from the floor (o6) before you leave.
The turning potion
Return to the mountain giants’ village, use the scoop in the cauldron (g7) to get a Saucepan of Boiling Liquid, and then use it on the statue (g8). Now add the horn to the statue, which will open a secret compartment allowing you to take the Puzzle.
Move to the dwarf temple and add the medallion to the floor design (k2), clicking it again to reveal a cache below. Click the items inside to reveal and take another Medallion. This can be used back at the dwarf cemetery to open up the statue (f8), allowing you to take the Urn of Ashes.
Go into the marquee, add the basket to the berry bush (h5), click the berries to drop them into the basket, and then pick up the Basket of Berries. Add the basket of berries to the press (h6), add the bubble, click the top of the press to use it, add the sack of ash, then the urn of ashes, pop the lid back on, and take the Turning Potion.
Return to the werewolf, give it the potion, and in return, you’ll receive a Key. Use it to open the attic hatch (o7) click it again to open it, and head up. Take the Collectible (p1), the Beyond Object (p2), the Brush (p3), and the Latching Mechanism Gear (p4), then click the hatch (p5) to open it and use the brush to clean the chimney.
Get a close-up of the cuckoo clock (p6), click the chimes, and the little door will open allowing you to take a Vial. Click the chair (p7) and move the cloth to find the Lantern Potion Recipe, and then click the junk by the window (p8) to start an object-matching game. If you’re struggling to get going, the hammer is behind the blue cloth in the top-right corner. Otherwise, it’s pretty straightforward. Once complete, you’ll receive the Lantern.
Head back downstairs and search the inside of the burner (o4) to find a Stone Flower. Move outside and add the latching mechanism to the device on the tree (n6), click it again to use it, and take the Lever. You can now go back into the werewolf’s hut, add the level to the mechanism on the wall (o5), and pull it to the right, which opens the gates to the swamp outside.
