Blizzard knows better than anyone what it’s like to send a project that has been in the works for several years. This tradition stretches for many years, and the company is not going to abandon it. So, today, thanks to a journalist Bloomberg Jason Schreyer has learned that Blizzard has canceled a mobile game, which was in joint development with NetEase for three years in the universe of World of Warcraft.
As far as Schreier knows, there was a disagreement between the companies that was incompatible with further cooperation. The journalist does not go into detail – in all likelihood, he simply does not have them yet. It is only known that as a result of the “divorce” NetEase had to disband the development team, which had more than a hundred employees.
Both Blizzard and NetEase declined to comment on the subject.
It’s important to remember that this post is about an unannounced creation codenamed Neptune. The recently unveiled Warcraft mobile game Arclight Rumble is fine, and is scheduled to launch later this year.
