With the launch of Modern Warfare 3, players are able to dive into a brand-new Zombies experience, a Campaign filled with open-sandbox missions, and a Multiplayer experience that features a whole roster of unique modes. Those of you diving into Multiplayer for the first time may be uncertain about which weapon to try out. However, if you have it, the MTZ-556 is a gun worth trying out.

The MTZ-556 is an Assault Rifle you can acquire at Level 12. This weapon has one of the highest levels of mobility and handling in its weapon category, along with a high fire rate. While the bouncy recoil of the MTZ-556, and its low level of range, do not make it the best weapon to use from afar, having the best attachments and loadout will provide you with a great weapon for medium-range combat.

Best MTZ-556 Modern Warfare 3 Build

Our MTZ-556 build is specifically designed to perform well in Core Multiplayer. When equipping the below attachments, you will gain a boost in accuracy, and recoil control, along with a slight improvement in range and handling. However, a small amount of mobility is sacrificed.

Recommended Perks (Infantry Vest, Gloves, Boots, Gear)

For your Perk Package, we suggest using the following. The Infantry Vest is great for boosting your mobility, and you can pair it with the Lightweight Boots to boost that attribute even more. Scavenger Gloves are a great addition for ensuring you never run out of ammunition, by allowing you to resupply ammo from dead players. Lastly, make sure to equip the Mag Holster, mainly to cover the drawbacks of running an extended magazine attachment.

Secondary Recommendations

The MTZ-556 can handle its own pretty well in Modern Warfare 3, eliminating the need for a support weapon. In this case, we suggest using a Launcher to cover your vulnerability to enemy UAVs. The PILA is without a doubt the best Launcher for this purpose, but the JOKR can also be considered for its lock-on capabilities.
