Modern Warfare 3 Sidewinder: Best Attachments & Best Loadout

Advertisements

Modern Warfare 3 brings three weapons to the Battle Rifle category at launch. Both the MTZ-762 and the BAS-B are great considerations when it comes to Battle Rifles, as each are quite useful in combat. When it comes to the Sidewinder, however, you may be greatly disappointed when comparing it to the other two.

The Sidewinder is a Battle Rifle you can acquire straight away upon reaching Level 4 in Modern Warfare 3. The Sidewinder sports one of the highest levels of handling for its weapon type, but falls behind in many other attributes. The Sidewinder has low damage considering its slow fire rate, along with a high amount of recoil and weapon kick. With the best attachments, however, these flaws can be mitigated.

Mag Holster

The above Perk Package is what we recommend when running the Sidewinder. The Infantry Vest aims to mitigate any loss in mobility by enhancing your Tactical Sprint duration – which you can pair with Lightweight Boots to boost mobility further. Scavenger Gloves are a must for any class where you find yourself running out of ammo quickly. Mag Holster is the final Perk we suggest and aims to mitigate the slow reload times associated with extended magazine attachments.

The low-magazine size of the Sidewinder is a major drawback. So, with that being the case, consider taking a Handgun to switch to in situations where your magazine is empty. The Renetti, the FTAC Siege, and the X13 Auto are some of our top picks for the Handgun category.
