Making progress in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is not just tied to completing challenges. After all, the items that you exit with will matter the most for your next deployment to Urzikstan. As a result, it’s quite important to start looking for more valuable loot aside from the available contracts.
One of the best ways to loot valuable items is to raid Mercenaries Camps, Strongholds, and Fortresses. While raiding Camps is quite straightforward, Strongholds and Fortresses do need some requirements. We will tell you how to unlock the doors of Legacy’s Stronghold.
How To Get Legacy Fortress Keycard
In order to move inside a Legacy’s Fortress, you need to get its dedicated keycard from a Mercenaries Stronghold, and this is not an easy task to complete. First of all, you need to obtain a keycard to Strongholds, which can be collected by raiding Mercenaries’ Camps or destroying Mercenaries’ Convoys.
Now, once you are inside a Stronghold, you do need to kill all the enemies until you get a notification telling you that the Stronghold is clear. Now, search the building for a highlighted medium-sized safe. If you interact with the safe, you will deploy a drill to open it up, but it will take some time.
Withstand The Assault
While the drill is cracking the safe, multiple waves of mercenaries will start to rush into the building. This is where mines and claymores come in handy. So, make sure you have at least one or two of them in your inventory. Find a safe spot for yourself and wait for the enemies to rush in. Once you kill all the mercenaries and the drill work is done, you can loot the safe. The loot will include Legacy’s Fortress keycard as well as some other valuable stuff.
Assaulting The Fortress
Legacy’s Fortress is located in the Medium-Threat region of the map, and it’s heavily guarded by top-tier soldiers and automated machine guns. If you kill all the guards, air support will be called out, which is a force to be reckoned with. So, we do suggest you take a Bazooka to this fight and get rid of the chopper quickly. Otherwise, you will always need to take cover inside buildings or garages.
The mercenaries inside Legacy’s Fortress are much tougher than the ones you usually face in Strongholds. Expect to meet much more shielded enemies and rushing units, with the chopper dropping heavily armed guards from time to time. We strongly suggest you raid Fortress with a full squad.
