Renowned insider Tom Henderson believes that Electronic Arts along with the developers of the new Need For Speed may soon make fans happy with the official announcement of the project. Rumors about the new NFS 22 have been going around for several months, but so far there have been no official mentions about the development of the project.
Tom Henderson is fully confident that EA is preparing the game for an announcement in July. Details of the presentation are unknown, perhaps there will not be one at all, and the company will limit itself to releasing a nice trailer, possibly with gameplay of the title.
Here’s what we know about the new Need for Speed: the development is officially engaged only one studio – Criterion Games, this studio released Hot Pursuit 2010, Most Wanted ’12, Rivals, and Hot Pursuit remaster. The second studio is Codemasters, which is rumored to be taking the lead in developing the title.
According to Grubb the game will come out on PC and non-xtgen consoles having photorealistic graphics, past generations of consoles were left out. The game is likely to remain purely arcade, with no complex controls or simulation bias.
By the way, according to Henderson, the company has already sent out personal copies of the game for closed testing.
