If you, for whatever reason, are interested in the fate of Final Fantasy XVI in development, then you should definitely check out the new details released by the project’s producer Naoki Yoshida.
Game’s producer immediately admitted that the developers wanted to make the new “Final Fantasy XVI” game in the medieval setting, because most of the team liked this style. But the full open world won’t be here – only large locations.
Final Fantasy XVI story is about Clive – a young adventurer, who will be accompanied by his AI-guided companions or a wolf cub named Torgal who showed up in the first trailer.
Clive will have a “weighty” set of special abilities and attacks, between which he can switch in real time. The producer of the game promised that every battle here will be unique and exciting.
Already the main story campaign of Final Fantasy XVI is available for full playthrough – from beginning to end. At the moment the developers are recording the voice-over in different languages and testing all components of the game.
Final Fantasy XVI is due out in the summer of 2023 on the PlayStation 5 – if nothing changes by then, of course.
