Last year, NVIDIA gave notice that it would stop releasing Game Ready drivers for its Kepler family of GeForce graphics cards, as well as its outdated Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 operating systems, whose support by Microsoft was nearing or had already ended for most consumers. Despite this, new Security Update drivers with security patches continue to be released, allowing users to strengthen the dilapidated security of their legacy systems.

The new GeForce Security Update 473.81 drivers were released the day before, as usual, the full list of fixes can be explored at “Security Bulletin.”, reports gHacks resource. The severity rating of the bulletin is high and there are quite a few vulnerabilities closed, some of which could lead to DoS attacks, privilege escalation, data spoofing and information disclosure, so you should pay close attention to the new version. An update is available for a wide range of graphics cards, here are the aforementioned GeForce GTX 600/700 series, and even the latest Ampere graphics cards, although it’s hard to imagine that anyone could use them on Windows 7. Download the drivers from the official download page.
