Immortals Awakening has been released in China. It lets you forget about Diablo Immortal for a while, but in fact they are two identical projects.
Immortals Awakening is a mobile MMO with isometric gameplay. In our previous article we told about its release in the Celestial Empire and provided the necessary links for iOS and Android. Now we and our readers have played it and want to say that this game accurately conveys the atmosphere of Diablo III. You choose 1 of 4 classes, protect the guards and civilians of the nearest village, and then fight a huge skeleton resembling King Leorik in the graveyard.
Of course, since Immortals Awakening only features Chinese characters, the character dialogues pass muster. In terms of gameplay, the player automatically completes quests and increases his overall power level; interestingly, you manage to reach level 30 in 11 minutes.
One of the typical Chinese game fics in Immortals Awakening is the ability to spam emoticons and other text during some splash screens, causing your and others’ messages to “run” to the left, creating a live-action and live audience effect.
Another of Immortals Awakening’s pluses is the excellent fantasy soundtrack you’d expect from The Elder Scrolls series. The game’s interface is concise and the graphics, although outdated, will allow you to run the project on budget smartphones. Problems may be the following – the language barrier and little emphasis on the online elements at the start. Of course, your main task is to collect rare gems and equipment. So you are unlikely to notice the difference between this game and Diablo Immortal.
