Granny is a popular Roblox horror game that challenges players to escape from a locked house. You’ll have to search for items, unlock new sections of the house, and cooperate with your fellow survivors. All the while, you’ll be hunted by the killer, simply known as “Granny.”
The easiest way to beat chapter one of Roblox Granny is to remove all the locks on the front door and open it. Here’s everything you need to know to escape from Granny.
Granny Chapter One Items
The items you’ll need to escape are:
- Cutting Pliers
- Blue Padlock Key
- Hammer
- Red Master Key
- Gold Safe Key
- Yellow Car Key
- Green Playhouse Key
- Cog Wheel
- Winch Handle
- Padlock Code
- Melon
- Birdseed
Unfortunately, items in Granny do not have set spawn locations. Items can be found in any order and may appear anywhere on the map. The best way to find items in Granny is to open drawers and cabinets. More valuable items tend to appear behind locked doors or inside safes. You’ll need to search every floor of the house, as well as the garage and the backyard. Most importantly, use Roblox’s chat feature to communicate with your teammates and keep track of where every item is.
If you’re killed by Granny at any point, you will lose all your items. However, you’ll have the chance to respawn and try again. For this reason, you should take note of each item you found, even if you’ve already used it. Certain elements of the map will reset after your death, and you’ll need to use the item(s) again to regain access.
How To Avoid Being Killed By Granny
As mentioned, Granny will patrol the map in search of players to kill. At first, Granny is extremely dangerous; your only option is to run away if you encounter her. Your best bet is to find a low, narrow gap between rooms or floors. Granny cannot crouch, but regular survivors can, allowing them to move around the map quickly and avoid being killed. Some of these gaps may be hidden behind boxes or other objects, so be sure to push them out of the way.
In addition to the bell by the front door, Granny has another bell stationed in the backyard. She can open a door to the backyard at any time, so be extremely careful when you’re in that area. You can always escape through the tunnel in the shed, which she can’t access. You should also watch out for traps, which Granny will place on the ground. These won’t kill you if you step in them, but you will have to stop and remove them. This leaves you vulnerable to attack.
Eventually, players may find items such as the Pepper Spray or the Tranquilizer. These items can be used to temporarily incapacitate Granny, interrupting her attacks and giving players time to run away. This is especially useful if Granny is camping in front of the door or the playhouse. Keep an eye out for the Wooden Key, as this item can be used to open a cabinet that always contains a weapon of some sort.
How To Unlock The Door In Granny Chapter One
Like the fellow Roblox horror game Spider, a random player will be selected to play as Granny. Their job is to prevent you from escaping by any means. The most straightforward way to escape is through the front door, but be careful; a bell will ring each time a player passes by the front door, alerting Granny to their location. Only go near the front door if you have an item for it.
To open the front door, you’ll need to complete the following tasks:
- Use the Cutting Pliers to cut the wires near the door
- Use the Cutting Pliers on the circuit box in the basement
- Use the Hammer to remove the wooden plank at the bottom of the door
- Use the Padlock Code to remove the padlock on top of the door
- Use the Blue Padlock Key to remove the second padlock on the door
- Place the Battery inside the machine in the middle of the door
- Turn off the machine in Granny’s playhouse using the Cog Wheel
- Use the Red Master Key to open the final lock on the door and escape
Many of these items will be hidden inside locked compartments, such as the safe or the car trunk. Others may require you to travel to different sections of the map. For instance, the Melon will usually contain a key, but it requires you to head to the backyard and cut it in half with the guillotine. The Birdseed, meanwhile, can be used to lure the crow out of its cage, allowing you to take whatever item might be inside. Finally, the Winch Handle will pull an item out of the well, usually a key.
Once the front door is open, all players will see an icon on their screens indicating that they can escape. Run to the front door as quickly as you can, and use any weapons you have to keep Granny away. This is the most dangerous part of the game, as Granny can simply stand in front of the door and kill players while they try to escape. It’s best to try and lure her away or use the Pepper Spray to stun her. Once you reach the doorway, you’ll have beaten chapter one of Granny.
