It’s been proposed that the opening to Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac Games’ predecessor, was one of the best introductions to the web-slinger across mediums. Player’s were introduced to Peter by touring his chaotic apartment while he suited up to fight another day of crime.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, however, sees Peter evolve from barely making ends meet in the city to suburban homeownership after inheriting Aunt May’s house. A lot of action takes place around this treasured landmark in the exhilarating sequel. Here’s where to find Aunt May’s house in Spider-Man 2.

Where To Find Aunt May’s House In Spider-Man 2

Despite the main story of the sequel taking you to Aunt May’s house many times during gameplay, you’d be forgiven for not stopping the action to check where you are on the map. Therefore, locating Peter’s new abode again by yourself can be a tricky endeavor.

Aunt May’s house can be found in the Astoria district, which is the top region on New York’s suburban map. In the extreme southeast corner, you’ll notice three curved rows of houses that arc to the left at the bottom. Aunt May’s house can be found in the first, smallest arc of houses, and it is six houses down if you’re entering from the top of the street on the map.

Many of the houses in Astoria look the same with their two-story structure and pastel colors. However, Aunt May’s house can be identified thanks to a few unique details. Firstly, the house is a green, pastel color with a cherry blossom-like tree outside (even though this tree was removed during the cutscenes) and the house has the number “15” written beside the front door. Additionally, Aunt May’s house can be identified by the basketball hoop attached to the garage door and the blue tarpaulin hanging out the building’s front window post-main story—an accident that occurred involving symbiotes.

While it’s not possible to re-enter Aunt May’s home after the main story quests, you can swing up onto the roof in order to take a look at the details inside through the window. If you want to check out the interior of Aunt May’s house in full, keep an eye out for the Roll Like We Used To main quest and fifth mission in Spider-Man 2’s main story, where you’ll be able to explore the inside of the house in full. If you’ve already played the game, the only way you’ll be able to play this mission is by loading a previous save or starting a new game altogether. However, the Insomniac devs have confirmed that they are working on an update to be deployed in the future that will include mission replay.

While you’re exploring Astoria’s suburbia and its industrial setting, it might be worth your while to check out the various side tasks that are on offer in this district:

Peter Parker’s Messy Apartment Is A Thing Of The Past

During the conclusion of Spider-Man 2’s predecessor, Aunt May succumbs to the disease Devil’s Breath, released by Otto Octavius. Peter has to choose between using the serum on Aunt May or using it to save everyone else, and he chooses the latter. Therefore, Peter inherits Aunt May’s home in the sequel, which gives him a new start in suburbia. If you want to visit Aunt May’s grave in-game, check out our guide to finding the location in New York City.

Peter has always been known to reside in a cheap, rundown apartment in the heart of New York City, so he’s close to the crime. It’s usually cluttered with leftover takeaway cartons, science experiments, and suit modifications. However, the sequel sees Peter move back home where he grew up in with Uncle Ben and Aunt May. For a majority of the sequel, Peter is trying to convince his girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson, to move in with him, but she’s a reporter in the city.

The sequel lets you explore the inside of May’s house while you tidy up and MJ is looking through some old photo albums. You’re also able to visit Peter’s old bedroom, which includes a notice board full of pictures and article clippings. These items hide a hole in the wall with a funny face drawn around it—explained during the Roll Like We Used To main mission. There are a number of charming details included in Aunt May’s house, which is worth exploring for any comic-book fan.

During the conclusion of the game, MJ finally chooses to move in with Peter, who has decided to take a break from being Spider-Man to let Miles take over as the city’s protector. The garage next to Aunt May’s house has also been turned into a small, starting office for the Emily-May Foundation, as the main office was destroyed during Venom’s uprising. We’ll likely revisit Aunt May’s house during Insomniac’s third Spider-Man game (which has already been teased) where we’ll get to see what Peter and MJ made of the place.
