Like its predecessor, Spider-Man 2 is full of villains for Peter and Miles to face. While the central antagonists of the game is Kraven and Venom, there are still all sorts of popular Spider-Man villains who will appear and cause issues for the Spider-Men.
As the game continues to grow towards its climax, Symbiotes come front and center for the last section. While most Symbiotes seen are nameless drones, there is another major named Symbiote who makes an appearance along with Venom named Scream.

Who Is Scream In The Comics
In the comics, Scream is one of the original five offspring of Venom. After being found and studied by the Life Foundation, Venom was forced to create five additional Symbiotes the foundation would use further, with the yellow symbiote bonding to a worker at the foundation, Donna Diego. While initially giving in to the Symbiote and causing havoc, Scream is one of the few Symbiotes that also is depicted as good from time to time.
After some time of being evil and out of control, Donna eventually learns to control the Scream Symbiote and uses it to defeat other Symbiotes and helps other hosts learn to control their Symbiotes to be good. While some depictions vary, Scream is just as often depicted as being a good Symbiote as evil but still often finds herself at odds with Venom despite him also having the same back-and-forth between good and evil.
What Are Scream’s Powers
Despite not directly bonding with Spider-Man, Scream still has a lot of the same Spider-Man-like powers that Venom has. Like all Symbiotes, Scream has super-human strength and durability, can quickly regenerate from potentially deadly wounds, and can control its body to change its shape at will. Scream’s most defining feature is its hair, which is a bunch of long tendrils that can be extended and controlled at will, being used for both offensive and defensive needs.
Who Is Scream In The Game
While various comic books have given Scream a different host, Spider-Man 2 offers a brand new idea with infecting MJ with the Scream Symbiote. While it’s not clear if this Symbiote is a direct offspring of Venom or just another piece of it, the Scream Symbiote does in some way still come from Venom, whose current host is Harry. With MJ as the host, Scream acts and fights in a similar way to its comic book inspiration but pulls from MJ’s thoughts and emotions in the battle with Peter.
