Starfield gives players an incredible amount of freedom, from how their character looks, what ship they fly and its design, and the weapons they use. Weapons are highly customizable, with different attachments that not only change how a weapon works but the stats along with it.
Upgrading weapons can be done at a weapon workbench and will let players attach researched upgrades to a weapon. Players wanting to maximize the potential of their weapons will spend a lot of time at a weapon workbench, and having one onboard a ship to bring to any planet in the galaxy makes upgrading weapons much more convenient.
How To Get A Weapon Workbench On Your Ship
Ships are made up of multiple different parts that determine how they fly and what they are like on the inside. The most important part of the inside of your spaceship is the Space Hab, which is usually the central module of the ship and has a few unique attributes for the inside that players can use.
For players trying to get a weapon workbench in their ship, they will need a Workshop hab module, as they are the only kind with a weapon workbench. It doesn’t matter which brand of Workshop hab is used or how it fits into the ship’s design, as the weapon workbench will always fit in. The habs of a ship can be replaced in existing ships or added onto a player-made ship through the modify ship menu at a Ship Services Technician.
Why Have A Weapon Workbench In Your Ship
Weapon upgrades through the workbench will cost various materials to build and attach to a weapon. After the projects have been researched, either traveling to a resource shop or far off planet for mining will be needed to get the materials to complete the upgrade on the weapon. Instead of going there and back again, players will be able to finish and equip the upgrade right from their ship, letting them proceed somewhere else to try out the new weapon right away.
