Starfield offers a more traditional leveling system, with players earning XP for doing just about everything in the game. As players earn more XP, they’ll level up and earn skill points that can unlock one of the hundreds of potential skills or upgrades for skills.
Thanks to Starfield’s clever inclusion of the New Game Plus system, many players will be going through the game many times with a single character, reaching incredibly high levels. What Is The Max Level
Starfield doesn’t have a max level, with players able to keep leveling up indefinitely. This is the same for any playthrough, with players able to reach any level they like without beginning a New Game Plus playthrough.
While there is no limit to a player’s level, there is a limit to what skill points and further level-ups can offer. To unlock every skill and level it up to its 4th level would require players to reach level 328. While players can continue leveling up from here, this level would result in the strongest character possible in the game.
Late Game Level Scaling Explained
XP from enemies is determined by the enemy’s level, which scales to two factors. The first is the recommended level of the system, making the average level of enemies in a higher-level system around that level, no matter what the character’s level is. The other factor is the character’s level, which plays a large role in enemies’ levels after the player goes beyond that system’s recommended level. For players looking to hit level 328 or beyond, enemies close to the player’s level can still be found and farmed for enough XP to level up at such a high level.
