The Crimson Fleet may just seem like a bunch of random space pirates in Starfield that players run into and fight from time to time, but they are actually a joinable faction. While players aren’t able to walk up to them and ask to join, those looking to take a more evil path can become an official members.
Like any other faction, the Crimson Fleet also has a home base that will be traveled back and forth throughout the quest line. The Key is the home for the Crimson Fleet and actually has many useful vendors inside.
How To Find & Access The Key (Space Station)
The Key is located in the Kryx system, towards the center of the galaxy. This system is owned by the Crimson Fleet, with the planet Suvorv’s orbit being full of Crimson Fleet pirates who attack anyone on sight. The Key is in orbit over the planet Suvrov and is the only major planet within the solar system. While this Space Station can be traveled to at any time, only members of the Crimson Fleet can enter, requiring players to side with them to access this unique location. Players who are not a part of the Crimson Fleet will be swarmed by dozens of ships at once in an incredibly close to unwinnable battle.
What’s In The Key
The Key used to be a United Colonies prison that was overrun and is now home to the Crimson Fleet. For players who join this faction, the Key is a full space station to travel to with all sorts of Vendors within, along with the Leader and second in command of the Crimson Fleet players will be meeting with often.
Within the Key is also a unique mission board for Crimson Fleet members, many of which will have you committing crimes. At the Ship Services Technician within the Key, players can also buy and use the unique Crimson Fleet ships. These ships can be boarded and stolen earlier in the game, but this may not always be the best option for ships from the faction players plan on joining.
