Lots of players’ time in Starfield will be spent in their ship as they fly through the galaxy. While landing on planets seems to be the usual trend, there are a few other things for players to discover in the orbits around planets.
The UC Vigilance is a massive ship that has a lot on board, along with being tied to a faction’s quest line. After progressing through the faction’s quest, this ship will also move to another part of the galaxy, making it easy to lose track of despite its size.
Where To Find The UC Vigilance
At the start of the game, players can find the UC Vigilance in the Sol system. The fourth planet from the sun, Mars, will have a moon called Phobos, with a ship icon for the UC Vigilance near it. Select to travel to Phobos or The UC Vigilance directly to travel to it. The ship will also have multiple escort ships to protect it, so be warned about approaching if you have a bounty.
After a few missions in either the Crimson Fleet or SysDef quest lines, the UC Vigilance will move. If you can’t find the ship near Phobos, travel to the Aranae system, to the right and slightly down from Alpha Centauri. Check the orbit of the planet Aranae II, which will now have the ship icon, making the Vigilance easy to locate and travel to. This ship can be boarded by approaching it within 500 metes and selecting the “Dock” option.
What’s On The UC Vigilance
Many players will first find the UC Vigilance by figuring out it’s also a prison used by the UC. Getting a bounty in the UC and getting caught will bring players to this ship as a prison to begin the Crimson Fleet quest line. The ship has a lot of NPCs and a main bridge where the leader of SysDef will task the player with infiltrating the Crimson Fleet. Depending on the side you pick, the UC Vigilance will be a recurring location to stop by throughout the quest line.
