The flurry of events that took place earlier this month seems to have come to an end, but these events are still hanging on. Now, in that regard we have learned that the Summer Game Fest 2022 surpassed 3.5 million viewers at its peak audience. This is just one of the interesting data shared by its organizer and presenter, journalist Geoff Keighley, through his Twitter account. Below you can see the message with which he has made it official before confirming what was an open secret, that the Summer Game Fest will return in summer 2023.
Thank you for making this our biggest #SummerGameFest showcase yet for viewership and social engagement around the world on June 9! pic.twitter.com/0JpKNFBrlC

These are the data shared by Keighley:
- More than 27 million viewers (8% more than in 2021).
- Peak simultaneous global viewership of over 3.5 million.
- 100% more conversation on Twitter compared to last year.
- 69% more use of #TheGameAwards hashtag.
- More than 6,000 co-streamers
These are all the games announced for Xbox Game Pass during Summer Game Fest.
“Thank you for making this our biggest Summer Game Fest event to date in terms of viewership and social engagement around the world on June 9,” Keighley said before confirming the conference’s return for summer 2023. A summer period that will also see the return of the return of E3which has been absent for a couple of years, and with which journalist Geoff Keighley will have to compete. If the trend continues as it has in recent years, 2023 is likely to be the year with most summer events in history. Whether that will be good or bad remains to be proven.
