Play Hardcore PC games on this $400 gaming device

With the new Steam Deck handled gaming device, you can play high-end PC games like PUBG, Warzone, etc. just like you do on a standard gaming PC. Only, unlike the Gaming PC, Steam Deck costs way less and is fully handheld.

Steam Deck comes in three different versions, classified based on storage capacity. The pricing is as follows:

  • 64GB, costs $399
  • 256GB, costs $529
  • 512GB, cost $649

The 512GB version processes games faster because it’s based on NVMe SSD storage access protocol. However, this doesn’t mean the 64GB version is slow. No, it just means the 256GB version is faster, and the 512GB version is the fastest.

Steam Deck will start shipping in December, 2021 if you apply for reservation via the official website Reservation only available in select countries.

Pretty cool gaming device :+1:t4:

However, I would stay as far away as possible from the 64GB version. Games like PUBG already occupies almost 20gb, and requires extra space for optimum performance. So, if you have three games like that installed, bye bye $400 dollars. :expressionless:

lol… kind of true. But I forgot to mention that the storage is expandable via MicroSD Card. Games can be installed and played off the sdcard. So, it’s not exactly as bad as it seems

Well then, I guess that’s one way to solve the storage issue. Still, you’ll need a Class 10 sdcard for better storage reading/processing speed.

I’d like to see a full hands-on review of this gadget sometime, the overall build looks great.

What’s the RAM capacity btw?

16gb for all versions
