Sooner or later any, even famous teams fall apart. For example, several years ago John Garvin, the creator of Syphon Filter and Days Gone, left Bend Studio. All these years, as it turned out, he didn’t sit idly by – together with the people from Bend and Naughty Dog he was working on a new ambitious project.
So, along with PlayStation veteran Michael Mumbauer, Garvin founded Liithos Studios. Its debut will be Ashfall, a multiplayer action game about surviving global warming and a volcanic eruption in Seattle. It is announced that the novelty will be a full-fledged single-player campaign, after which users will have access to PvP and PvE.
The project will be released on PC, consoles and the blockchain platform Hedera Hashgraph. The latter will affect gameplay: using this technology it will be possible to exchange items with other players. The project has no release date yet, as well as a trailer. To illustrate the announcement, Liithos has published several concept-arts.
