The Age of Sorcery update for the online game Conan Exiles has changed the construction system and added a new mode for those who want to try the architectural craft. All the details were presented in special post. in the Steam section.
The list of new features in the big update will also include sorcery, new companions, a redesign of features, and a few other things. But the big post is dedicated to the redesigned construction system. The authors admitted that they set a global goal to make the construction as convenient and organic as possible for players on both computers and consoles.
The Age of Sorcery update will bring a new interface to the game’s client for the build mode, separate from item creation and management. Instead of creating building blocks and placing them on the Quick Access Toolbar, players will be able to simply pick up a builder’s hammer and get right into the mode. There the building blocks will be available directly in the new interface.
Also in the new interface, building blocks, workshops and decorations are placed in separate tabs at the top, and subcategories (different materials or content add-ons) will be in the column on the left. This is all done for ease of use – especially on consoles.
Separately, the developers have taken care of the authors of mods. In the new interface modding creators will be able to add their own types of sorting for placed items and building blocks, assigning them a new game category tags. According to the authors, all these changes will make building faster and easier than ever, including for players on consoles.
