A couple of weeks ago Glen Schofield, known as the creator of Dead Space, officially showed off his new “horror” game called The Callisto Protocol in full. From the premiere gameplay demonstration we can see that the novelty has ears of Dead Space sticking out everywhere. This fact can be perceived differently, but the deficit of something in The Callisto Protocol will not be scary moments.

By By The developers, the game in terms of its approach to the horror will surprise even the mature horror fans: The Callisto Protocol applies many new ideas, which have not previously been used in games of this genre. In theory, this solution will allow the game to look fresh. If we believe the developers, the construction of the game means that the players will act carefully and cautiously, because trouble may be waiting for them where you don’t expect it. In other words, the Striking Distance studio tried to make their horror not to be predictable, and this, as it turns out, is the key detail in any project based on the “suspense”.

In addition, the developers have prepared a few surprises for attentive gamers: looking around, you can see more different creepy things than just looking ahead and not seeing any obstacles in front of you.

As far as the horror component of The Callisto Protocol lives up to the developers’ claims, we’ll find out on the second of December on all current platforms. It will, of course, be a shame if in the imagination of the authors of the project it was much scarier than in reality.
