After numerous leaks, a trailer showing the new chapter of Project W was released today. The chapter is a collaboration with Resident Evil, introducing three characters: Wesker, Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers. The developers will also redesign the existing police station location, and add music to the chase. The chapter will be out in a few months, but the final content could have been completely different, prevented only by Capcom’s voice.
According to the creators of the horror game, the team had the idea of introducing Lady Demetriescu into the project. Quite a good decision, which will add tens of thousands of sales to the new chapter. I note that in the future, if the developers can negotiate with Capcom for a third collaboration, Lady may well appear in the horror, but not now.
The decision about new characters in the case of a collaboration is not just made by the developer studio, but by the team the creators are collaborating with. This time it was Capcom. There were many long conversations about the new assassin, but the final decision was left to Wesker. Some of the creators of the asymmetrical horror were upset by this fact, but in any case, with this choice there will be a side that is not happy with the choice.
The game will get many more chapters, and collaborations, in the future. Who knows, maybe Lady Demetriescu will appear next year?
