The Talos Principle 2 is a truly unbelievable puzzle game experience. The game has no shortage of locations to explore, secrets to find, and new mechanics to incorporate into your puzzle-solving adventure. The game starts very strongly with a tutorial puzzle reminiscent of the first game but quickly ramps up everything from the storytelling to much more complex puzzles.
To solve Backup, you will be making use of the Driller to open holes for beams to pass around the room. This will all culminate in merging the blue and red lasers into the green sun. By following this guide, you can save your Prometheus Sparks for a future puzzle.
How To Solve Backup
You will start in a room that will have a Driller in the first room, along with a red sun, a blue sun, and a green sun — all of which will have blue barriers next to them. To the left of the blue sun will be a special wall that you can use the Driller on to create a hole. Make a hole and then take the Connector out of this room. You will also see that there is a blue laser in the room with the Connector. Use the Connector to select this laser and the blue sun in Room 1.
This will lower the barrier next to the blue sun, allowing you to go past the blue sun’s barrier and take the RGB Converter from the other side. Bring the RGB Converter to the Driller and then take the Driller. Use the Driller to create a hole in the special wall to the left of the red sun. You will see a red laser on the other side of this special wall. Take the Connector and use it to select both the red laser and the red sun. This will open the barrier next to the red sun, allowing you to take the Connector on the other side.
Use this second Connector on the red laser and the other Connector in the first room. Go back into the first room, pick up the Driller, and use it to make a hole in the special wall to the left of the blue sun again. Take the RGB Converter and use it to select the blue laser behind the Driller hole, either of the Connectors, and the green sun. This will lower the barrier to the Progress Wheel.
