The multiplayer shooter Team Fortress 2 is one of the industry’s and genre’s major longevity. It premiered in the fall of 2007 and has been alive and well ever since. However, not everything is as smooth as we would like it to be: in recent years it has become more and more difficult for its fans to enjoy the gameplay because of the influx of bots. Gamers turned to the developers, and they finally heard them.
Valve released an updatewhich fixed various bugs and exploits, as well as slightly debugged the voting system. Fans reacted favorably to the patch, but it is not enough – although kick out unwanted became much easier, the main problem the creators of the game has not yet been corrected.
Recall that a few years ago the network got the source code of the shooter. After that its servers began to be constantly filled with bots that were disturbing common users. Fans have sounded the alarm, but until recently the developers ignored them. The situation changed in May, when Team Fortress fans staged an action on Twitter with the hashtag #SaveTF2: the company admitted the problem and promised to fix it.
