Weapon blueprints in Warzone 2 provide a lot of cosmetic changes to your arsenal of weapons – whilst also optimally tuning them towards specific attributes. Most weapon blueprints are available for purchase through the in-game store, but there are a few that can be obtained for free – usually through completing various Faction Missions. However, the Heated Madness blueprint follows a different set of rules and is a unique quest for DMZ.
The Heated Madness blueprint is a variant of the Kastov 762, and features the following attachments: the SAKIN TREAD-40 Muzzle, the IG-K30 406MM Barrel, the EDGE-47 GRIP Underbarrel, a 40 Round Mag, and the SZ RECHARGE-DX Optic. To unlock the full blueprint, you will need to find and extract all the Heated Madness parts from the Koschei Complex in DMZ.

Heated Madness Muzzle (Alpha Cluster)
The Heated Madness Muzzle can be found within a locked area of the Alpha Cluster – a part of the complex accessed by the C/1 and C/2 bunker doors to the east side of the Chemical Treatment Plant. However, before heading over to these bunker doors, make sure to grab an R4D Detector from one of the huts located within the Chemical Treatment Plant. This item will be stored in your tactical equipment slot and is a vital tool for obtaining the Heated Madness Muzzle.
Once you have the R4D Detector, head over to the east side of the Chemical Treatment Plant to where the C/1 and C/2 bunker doors are located. To open each one, you will need to power the fusebox between the doors with a Jumper Cable and a Car Battery – which we recommend gathering from Al Mazrah first.
Once one of the doors is open, progress onwards – taking out the Sentry Turrets waiting for you – and continue heading east until you reach the Alpha Cluster. Be sure to clear out all the soldiers, along with the additional Sentry Turrets – as they can prove to be quite a nuisance when completing the steps to obtain the muzzle. Once done so, head to the south side of the cluster.
Here you will encounter a series of green locked doors, each of which leads to the Alpha Cluster Restricted Zone. You will also encounter a yellow blast door here, which will require a code to open it. This very locked room is where the Heated Madness Muzzle is located. However, to get to it, you will need to complete a short puzzle. To complete this puzzle, you must:
- Identify the access code to the blast door by aiming the R4D Detector above the keypad next to it
- Scan the various chalkboards around the Alpha Cluster with the R4D Detector to decipher the code
- Enter the code in the correct order to unlock the door
Having trouble finding the third formula? If you have only figured out two of the numbers, you can simply guess the third and brute force your way into the locked room.
Once you have unlocked the blast door, you should be able to grab the muzzle next to a desk on the left side of this locked room.
Heated Madness Barrel (Chemical Treatment Plant)
The Heated Madness Barrel is one of the easiest pieces to obtain, as it can be found within the Chemical Treatment Plant section of the complex. Entering the Chemical Treatment Plant can be done via any one of the Al Mazrah bunker entrances, as the routes from each entrance all converge to this central area. When in the complex, follow the red arrows to reach the Chemical Treatment Plant, and then complete the requirements to unlock the bunker door.
Once you are in the Chemical Treatment Plant, you are free to search for the barrel – but be mindful of Al Qatala soldiers and enemy operators. The barrel can often be found on the far east side of this area, lying beside some wooden crates close to the Alpha Cluster entrance. Another possible spawn for the barrel is within the air ducts dotted throughout the complex – the same places in which the Factory Admin Key may spawn.
Heated Madness Grip (Alpha Cluster)
The Heated Madness Grip can be found within a locked room in the Alpha Cluster, meaning that it is quite easy to gather both the grip and the muzzle within the same deployment. This time around, the locked area you are looking for is located on the west side of the Alpha Cluster, and cannot be accessed without hacking three server racks within the cluster.
Start off by searching for 3 AQ Laptops, items which can generally be found along any of the areas you find yourself after entering the complex. AQ Laptops can be found in:
- The Barracks
- Information Extraction
- External Ops
- Defense Research Division
Once you have 3 AQ Laptops, head into the Alpha Cluster and connect them to three of the four server racks within the area. Doing so will hack the server, thus unlocking the locked area to the west side of the cluster.
Now that the locked area is unlocked, head on through the double doors, and search within the locked room. The grip can generally be found between the shelving units to the left of the entrance of the room.
Heated Madness Magazine (Defense Research Division)
The Heated Madness Magazine can always be found within the Defense Research Division section of the Complex – accessed from the Oasis bunker entrance. Before heading to this area, we recommend stocking up on Gas Masks and Radiation Blockers.
The area which the magazine attachment often spawns is within the Defense Research Division Exit, which is accessed through a yellow blast door on your way to the Chemical Treatment Plant. To gain access to this locked area, you will need the Defense Research Division Exit Keys A and B.
There are three chambers within the Defense Research Division, each of which is home to various blast doors that leak out radiation. It is within these radiation rooms that the Defense Research Division Exit Keys A and B can be found. When progressing through each chamber, make sure to search each one of these areas to find both keys.
Both keys generally spawn within the chambers mentioned earlier. Once you have both keys, unlock the Defense Research Division Exit and head inside. The magazine attachment can generally be found on the right side of the main room within this area – which sits just before the corridor leading to the Factory Admin.
Heated Madness Optic (Barracks)
The final part of the Heated Madness blueprint is the Optic, which can always be found within the Barracks – a flooded section of the complex accessed from the bunker to the east of Taraq Village. Before heading here, ensure that you have a Rebreather. Progress through the Barracks like you normally would to reach the Chemical Treatment Plant, until you find an air vent leading to a forked section filled with trip wires.
Take the right passageway and here you will find a hole in the right-side wall – one which has been boarded up with a marked piece of wood. Destroy this piece of wood with a Semtex or a C4, and then head through the opening. Take a left, and you will find another flooded segment of the complex.
It is here that the Heated Madness Optic can be found. It typically resides within a small room to the left of this area (marked with an arrow on the wall).
If you cannot find any of the attachments in the locations described above, then another player is in possession of them. Also, it is worth noting that if one member of your squad extracts any of the attachments, that part of the Heated Madness blueprint will be unlocked for your entire squad.
