We played Hello Neighbor: Diaries and now we’re afraid to knock on other people’s doors

Publisher tinyBuild has released Hello Neighbor: Diaries on smartphones. We tried it out and are in a hurry to share our opinion.

Hello Neighbor: Diaries is a mobile game where you find yourself back in the home of the evil Neighbor. This time it is not a numbered part, but rather an offshoot of the first part. Players can customize the graphics, controls and even put the Russian language, which is a rarity these days. Gameplay is again first-person with hints on the walls and jumping through the window to get to the roof. A little strange that all the houses except yours and the neighbor’s are made of huge cardboard, which makes them flat.

I’d like to mention decent graphics – the lighting, shadows, and modeling of objects look nice and there are no complaints about the picture at all. Meanwhile, casual gamers can get lost in three pines – the game doesn’t tell you what to do, just putting you and your neighbor on the same location and watching how you’ll cope with the puzzles and how good your stealth skills are.

Unfortunately, Hello Neighbor: Diaries sometimes lacks sound effects and isn’t quite clear on what to do. Meanwhile, you get daily rewards for entering, and you can also get items that make another run a little easier. Just beware – when the Neighbor catches you, the alarm level goes up; if the indicator fills up, the character will have to rest. What does this mean? Download and find out.
