Newer games are increasingly featuring accessibility settings in an effort to reach a larger audience and earn higher ratings from fans and players. They even created the annual Video Game Accessibility Awards to show how much they care about gamers with special needs.

The second award ceremony, organized with the help of the charity AbleGamers, will take place in 2022. Games that raise the accessibility bar will be recognized. A jury comprised entirely of disabled gamers will select the best of the best.
The winners will be announced exactly one month later, on March 12, during a broadcast hosted by the award’s co-authors, Steven Spohn and Alanah Pearce.
